Tails wiped some of the excess oil off of his gloves as he stood up in front of his latest creation. The large machine, a seal-able chamber with a decently sized interior, waited silently as its inventor looked it over once more.
"Finally, my transformation machine is complete!" Tails proudly announced to nobody in particular. An excited smile covered his face as he walked over to the computer to program in his plans. "With everything in place, now I'll be able to use this in order to make myself older! That way everyone will have to take me way more seriously!"
With a number of keystrokes and mouse clicks, he arranged his planned change; age himself to about twenty years old. The plan would be flawless as long as nothing went wrong! He was so confident even, that he strode into the chamber and turned it on, seeing no reason to test it out beforehand.
But the device overheated. It seemed one of the interior fans hadn't been properly wired, and signals were being misinterpreted. As invisible waves flooded the chamber, Tails felt himself begin to change, but not how he anticipated...
