Original Author: The Black Mamba
You are Daisy, an 8-year old girl with big dreams. You were always picked on by bullies, being weak and emotional, and get pushed down almost every day. Your only dream was to become an adult, living in the real world of freedom and equality, where no one could do wrong.
Walking home from school with another black eye, you decided to stay with your friend Jane to play dolls. You decided to do this without having your mother see you, as she would drag you in if she does. You take a detour through the forest, the first time you've done so.
In minutes you got lost. The paths grew darker and darker. You were about to cry in fear. You wished you had stayed with your mother, who always protected you from dangers such as this. Now there was little hope of seeing her again.
You hear a voice. "Daisy, help me."
You stopped weeping and looked around. The voice didn't seem to come from anywhere.
"Daisy, over here."
You walked through the forest a little longer, until you came to a tree that seemed to have a blueish glow. You were curious; no tree could naturally glow like that. You inched forward and put your hand on it. It was warm, but it was still a tree.
Suddenly its glow stopped, and darkness overcame you again. You knelt down in tears.
The voice spoke again. "Daisy, thank you."
You turned around and saw a woman, who seemed to be glowing like the tree was, only brighter. She was beautiful, more than twice as gorgeous as the supermodels you see on TV.
"Thank you for releasing me from my prison," the glowing woman said. "I am Bonum, an angel for good. The forces of darkness held me here on the edge of the forest, where no one would find me for a while. It has been centuries."
You were puzzled. "I thought good always beats evil," you say.
"Ah, your undeveloped mind. In the real world, evil almost always wins, since I was in this jail. Although it seems like good does win there, it is ineffective. If only the world knows how to be kind and courteous to others..."
She trails off. "Never mind, to repay your kind act, I will grant you one wish, and this can be anything at all."
This is your lucky day. You can finally become an adult and abandon your troubles.
"I wish I grew up!"
Suddenly you remembered what Bonum said. "In the real world, evil almost always wins." Your life in adulthood could be worse than your life in childhood.
You look at Bonum, and she frowned. "This wish has multiple meanings. You may not like it, but I will grant to you both of them. Enjoy the ride."
She waved her hand, and everything went black.
...
You wake up in a grassy field, everything around you feeling warm. The grass was trimmed short, making it a relaxing place to take a nap. That's probably what you did; you were still tired.
You remembered Bonum, and what she did. It must have been a dream, you thought. You must have fallen asleep and given that vision. You stand up... and your head enters the clouds above. But that was impossible, the clouds are miles in the air and you're only 3' 10".
Suddenly a horrible thought came to you. The grass isn't short... I grew.
That's the best you could describe it, since you were only 8-years old. You bent down so you could see the world better. What you say instead was yourself. You were in new clothes. Your skin seemed luminous and shiny. You felt powerful, and more feminine.
You looked around. Mostly in your field of vision was grass, but there was a city to your right, and a farm straight ahead. You could show yourself to the public, or go to the farm in hopes of grabbing food, since it won't be easy when you're as tall as the neighboring city is wide. Then again, the city could provide some to. Where will you go?
