7:35 AM - Chitanda-san's room
The gentle morning sun of a perfect summer day streamed through the blinds of Eru's bedroom. The air as already warm, carrying the faint, sweet scent of the lush greenery surrounding the Chitanda family's estate.
After taking off her white bath robe, Eru stood before her full-length mirror, nude.
Like her long black silky hair, her pale, ivory skin was shimmering wet and tender from the hot bath she had just stepped out of.
On her neatly organized desk, her laptop was open, the vibrant webpage of Nagashima Spa Land's "Joyful Waterpark" glowing on the screen. Images of towering water slides, sprawling wave pools, and laughing visitors filled the display. She had been confirming the park's opening hours and the bus schedule for her and her friend, Mayaka Ibara.
11:00 AM - Water Park
The water park was alive with the chatter of children, punctuated by the sporadic laughter of adults. Serpentine water slides coiled their way skyward, while languid rivers meandered around the park's periphery.
Eru stood with her black hair in a high ponytail that gleamed under the sun. Her lithe and curvaceous silhouette was accentuated by the pristine white two-piece bikini she donned, lending her an aura of innocence that set her apart from the crowd.
By her side was Mayaka Ibara, her classmate from Kamiyama High School. With her cropped chestnut hair and petite stature, Mayaka was a stark contrast to Eru, both in appearance and demeanor.
While Eru exuded an air of innocence and politeness, Mayaka was the embodiment of impulsiveness and stubbornness, often coming across as blunt and brusque.
"Chi-chan, let's try that slide next!" Mayaka exclaimed, pointing towards the towering water slide that loomed in the distance.
2:15 PM - As Eru stood in a pool, waist deep, a pair of hands snaked around her waist from beneath the water. A jolt of surprise, followed by an immediate, uncontrollable giggle, escaped her lips. Wriggling fingers danced across her sides, and Eru erupted in a fit of laughter, splashing playfully as she tried to twist away from her assailant.
"Mayaka-chan!" she gasped between peals of laughter, turning to see her friend's mischievous grin.
Mayaka chuckled. "You're so ticklish, Chi-chan," she teased. "You were so lost in your own world, I couldn't resist."
Still giggling, Eru splashed a handful of water at Mayaka. "You're mean!" she retorted. The two friends dissolved into a playful water fight.
6:00 PM - The sun began its gradual descent, casting elongated shadows and painting the world in warm tones of crimson and amber.
As the park emptied, the two sixteen-year-old girls exchanged their goodbyes. Eru eventually made her way back towards the girls' locker room.
