The human boy walked around the side of the house, holding a basket with a cloth covering it's contents. That didn't keep the deer from smelling what was inside, and whatever was inside the basket sure smelled good! The boy and the deer maintained eye contact as the the boy took step by step in the deer's direction until they were but a few yards apart. The boy then sat the basket down and took the cloth off, letting the scent of it's contents fill the air around them. He then turned and walked away, and once out of eyesight rushed up to the porch.

The deer trotted over to the basket and sniffed at the food in it. It smelled sweet and savory all at once. It certainly wasn't anything the deer would find in the wilderness. He munched at some of the food in the basket and found it tasted... delicious! The deer chewed up everything in the basket and licked it clean. Satisfied, he then trotted back into the forest to find a place to lie down.

The boy, who had been watching from the porch, smiled. He was happy that he could share some of his favorite snacks with the local wildlife! He didn't expect though that a deer would be so inclined to love the taste of...
