Samuel walked around his house, checking in on his family and their daily activities, seeing if any one of them were an interesting possession option.
He came to the conclusion that they weren't pretty quickly.
Sure, possessing his mom and seeing what a girl was like would be interesting, but she was his mom, couple that with her rather mundane household life and the thought of being her for a short while was not a very entertaining thought.
And being his dad or brother was also not very appealing, seeing as his dad was going to work soon and having to work his job for any amount of time was not very appealing at all, and he didn't want to be a younger kid either.
He needed somewhere where he could be himself, somewhere where he didn't have to worry about not knowing what he was doing, somewhere he could guarantee possessing someone while also keeping it on the down low.
Hmmm...
"Honey?"
Before I could come up with a solution to my very important problem my moms voice cut through my thought process in an instant.
My eyes looked up to see her standing in the living room with me, a slight look of concern on her face.
"Uh... yeah mom?" I asked.
"You've been standing there for some time, are you alright?"
"Yeah, yeah, just thinking about something."
She gave me a skeptical look, I knew she could tell I was hiding something from her, but she wasn't exactly the most pushy kinda parent when it came to this kind of stuff.
"Maybe you need some fresh air? It would certainly help you more then sitting in that room of your's all day."
She nodded her head towards the door, though her eyes briefly glanced towards my choice of clothes as she said this.
I only sighed in response, there really wasn't much point in countering that. "Yeah, maybe I'll go to school or something."
Despite it being the weekend, Saturday specifically, the school i attended would allow students to come in, get extra school hours, and potentially raise their class grades if they helped enough.
I know, its dumb.
Yeah, why would I want to there over the weekend? Only a select handful of about twenty students even bother showing up, half of them being below average students forced to go there for some extra score or those who are already doing well but want an even higher class average or something.
It just seems stupid going to aplace where you already go five times a week just to get slightly higher grades... with only a couple of staff members around... and some students to...
Oh my god.
Quickly I turn around and run upstairs to my room, grabbing a fresh set of jeans and a red t-shirt, throwing them on as fast as possible before running back downstairs.
My mom stared at me in confusion as I put my shoes on, raising on eyebrow.
"You're in a hurry-"
She didn't get to finish her sentence as I ran up and hugged her, making it snappy as I let go and ran towards the front door.
"Thanks mom!:
And as quickly as I could a ran out the front door, not bothering to hear it shut behind me as I ran across my front yard and down the street of my neighborhood.
Normally I would walk to school, seeing as it was only a five minute walk from my house to it, but today I was feeling more excited then ever as I made it towards school.
Unfortunately in all my excitement I didn't really consider how I wasn't exactly the greatest example of physical education, taking a moment to catch my breath before walking the rest of the way to the school building.
Turning the last corner the school came into view, its large gate having an equally large sign on it.
"Welcome to Pathway High School." I read aloud, still the same as its always been.
Quickly as I could i made my way towards a nearby store and walked into an alleyway, didn't want to get seen by a teacher and forced to do anything as myself right now.
"Alright." I said, rubbing my hands together. "Time to see if I can even do this."
The feeling i got earlier gave me everything I needed to know, but it while sounded completely ridiculous I couldn't help but feel like it was telling the truth in some way.
So I stood still, focusing on the feeling I got earlier, the jolt slowly building up inside of me as I felt my whole body start to feel colder and colder before the jolt went through my body like lightning, and the cold sensation dissapearing completely.
I stared down at myself, my hands now appearing as a transparent blue color as I examined my ghostly form, my entire body was transparent and blue, making the clothes I put on look extra weird.
Regardless of that, along with me still somehow wearing my clothes while I was a ghost, I wasted little time in making my way out of the alleyway, half floating and half walking towards the school building.
A teacher and male student walked by me as I made my way towards the front door, chatting with each other as I waved my hand in their direction.
"Hello? Can you hear me!" I shouted at them, but they played me no mind, instead walking towards their destination while I was standing their.
"Guess they really can't see me."
Though I already knew that, my mind having been overloaded with information on the possession abilities, seeing it in action was a whole different experience.
I made my way towards the front door, occasion seeing a student walk by occasionally as he looked for someone he would be interested in possessing though it admittedly took a little while before he did so.
But eventually he found her, walking down the hallway was...
