Crap!! Blake had landed in Ruby's pack of spearmint gum!
Ruby sat toward the back of the classroom, her backpack on the floor next to her desk. As the teacher lectured about atomic this and chemical that, Ruby managed to sneak a hand into her backpack when nobody was looking, and pulled out her pack of gum. The cheerleader, in her eagerness for something to chew on, popped a piece of gum past her parted cherry-red lips and into the moist cavern of her mouth. Unbeknownst to her, Blake was imprisoned in this organic cave along with the minty treat.
The tiny boy tried to run, but before he could get far, Ruby closed her lips and moved him and the gum onto her bottom teeth. The pearly whites above came down upon poor Blake repeatedly...but somehow, he wasn't dead. While he was grateful to have survived, Blake was coated in minty stickiness and afraid of being swallowed into a lethal pit of digestive juices.
