Gabriel decides traveling south to Hamshire, since would probably be the safest place to go, from what she had read halfings were friendly folk. So she headed south on her white steed named Spirit. The trip was joyful one, no one was around to tell her what to do, the nights were lonely but she at least had Spirit to keep her company.
On one night in particular, she stumbled upon a camp of an old woman cooking in a big pot over the camp fire.
“Come child, and share my fire and my food.” The old hag.
“Thank you for you hospitably.”
The old hag hands Gabriel a bowl of the soup. She tastes it and it is delicious it was one of the best things she had ever eaten, but that may not have been hard since when she was in court she only ate nuts, fruits and vegetables, she was forbidden to eat meat.
“Child, I see in your future you are heading towards larger, bigger, better things. You will see yourself expand and tower over those around you. You will be a force to reckon with. ” Then in a poof of smoke the old hag disappears.
