In the year 2253 AD, Sarah’s family had died during the Great Civil War. When Mars fought for freedom from Earth. After the war, as the victor, Earth declared itself as an Empire and Grand Chancellor Hayden declared a Manifest Destiny that Humans must leave our solar system.

2255 AD at the age of 16, Sarah not having any reason to stay on Earth signed up for a colony mission. One of the greatest earth spaceships ever built EES Starflower. Starflower was a giant colony/battleship which could hold 6000 people, 1000 of which were soldiers. It mission was to colonize a world that had been determine could sustain human life. Sarah spent the next 4 years doing extremely schooling and training to be the mission.

In 2259, EES Starflower launched, as it left the solar system everyone on the crew was cyrosleep and the Starflower flew for 34 years to its destination.

In 2293, Upon arrival to the system a 1000 soldiers and 500 civilians of the crew woke one of which was Sarah. Their job was to spend the next 2 years scouting the system and preparing for colonization and being ready for any hostile aliens.

There was one planet that was optimal for colonization a Gaia Class planet they named Eden
