As you entered the sphere, you immediately blacked out.

You didn't know how long you were out, but when your vision returned to you, albeit in a hazy form, you immediately knew you weren't in the same place. The last thing you remembered was a strange sphere, then panic, then nothing. A few minutes later, your vision began to clear, allowing a more definite answer to the question of where you were.
