Chapter #5Deal with the demon by: rofo   The journey had been long, but he had learned much from his journey with the perverted sage. Things like the sage mode, some basic seals, and that he was not into women.
He'd undergone so much training, but most of it was focussed on learning to get proper chakra control over the vast amounts of chakra he had.
And now, he was finally arriving home. It had been three longs and hard years, but it would all be worth it... one last bend in the road and the village would be visible... and his enthousiasm died on sight. He'd completely forgotten that he was returning on Minato day, but the balloon of kyuubi with a rope around his neck, like he was hanging from invisible gallows was all too obvious. As a kid he'd always hatedd Minato day. It was the day the 4th died, saving the village. It was also a day he'd get stabbed, beaten and bruised by drunk strangers. And it was his birthday. Not like he'd ever had a birthday.
As he walked to the village, he hoped this year would be different. That maybe his friends had planned a welcome home party. That he wouldn't be recognised by the crowd. Just once to have a normal Minato day, but that hope was quickly dashed when an anbu in full gear turned to him, and stabbed him right in the middle of his seal. Naruto looked shocked for only a moment before falling to the ground, holding the wound.

Naruto woke up in a sewer he had come to know quite well. He knew where he was. It took only moments before he was outside the seal. Behind the bars sat an orange human sized nine-tailed fox, grinning broadly.
The fox broke the silence: "It seems your journey has ended. And so close to being safe with your friends too. The regeneration I always gave you won't help now. It'll take more power, and i will not give that for free. Let us make a deal."
Naruto groaned, knowing he was at the fox' mercy this time. His reply was barely more than a whisper. "What do you want?"
Kurama smiled: "You will put my mark on someone. It will be a guy, and one who accepts it willingly. Promise this, and i will save your life. The one you mark will gain special boons of mine. What is my secret to keep until it happens."
Naruto knew he was making a mistake, he knew he should say no, but he did not wanna die. All he could muster was a nod, and chakra flooded him, burning out his wound. He he'd keep his word, that was his ninja way, but he knew this was a bad deal.

Naruto woke up on the side of the road. He got to his feet, his stomach aching but no longer bleeding. He dusted himself off and walked towards the village, towards...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
