Just as Josh was about to turn his Playstation on when he heard his Mom calling him from down the stairs. "Josh, girls dinner time." Groaning Josh got up off of his bed and as he made his way down stairs, he felt something odd on his upper arm. Looking down, Josh noticed that Courtney's, wait scratch that, his bra strap seemed to have fallen off of his shoulder. Fixing it and putting it back into place like he's seen many times before at school and his sister doing, he made his way out of his room and downstairs.
"So you have to divide by y to get the answer?" Courtney's voice asked. Josh turned around to see Jenn and his sister walking not far behind him.
"Yeah, now you're getting it." Jenn congratulated her with a small pat on the back. As she looked up, Josh couldn't help but watch her long black hair fly behind her. He was soon snapped out of his trance by Jenn asking him a question.
"I'm sorry?" Josh asked as he shook his head to get the daydream out.
"I asked if you're in Mrs. Walthrop's 5th period Biology class." Jenn repeated as she tried to place him somewhere, but she seemed to have trouble with it.
"Jennifer, actually." Jenn corrected him as they started to descend the staircase to the main floor. Josh forgot that only her closest friends were allowed to call her Jenn.
"Oh, sorry." Josh replied as he tried to pull his shorts down a little more so they didn't seem so short.
He was caught off guard, however, when Courtney talked softly in his ear so that only he could hear. "You can't do that, if you do they will fall right off." She giggled at her brother's torture and sat down at the table.
"Oh hello Jennifer." Josh and Courtney's mom, Kim, replied as she saw the 3 of them enter the room. "Will you be joining us tonight for dinner?"
"If you don't mind me staying?" Jenn replied with a smile, that only recently, melted Josh's heart.
"Not at all, sweetheart." Kim said as she gestured to the empty seat next to Josh. "We always have a seat for you. I mean, with all the work you've been putting in with Courtney's Algebra."
"Thanks, but I feel she's starting to get it." Jenn chuckled as she sat down next to Josh and across from Courtney.
