Josh continued the onslaught of zombie killing when his gaming buddy Kira came online. Josh talked to her for a brief period of time. While they were normally only buddies on the console, the way she talked to him made it seem as they were closer. Like they were more than just gaming buddies, but maybe close friends. It didn't take long for Josh to realize that he inherited this friendship from Courtney. After a couple hours of teaming up on their games, Kira told Josh she had to leave for dinner, which possibly could have meant Jenn left to go home and eat dinner with her family. Josh locked the door in case Courtney did end up coming back, wanting to make another swap. Josh played for about another half an hour before turning off his game. He looked over and saw the time was 7:30 PM. "It's only 7:30?! This day is taking forever, I can't wait to swap back!" He thought.
Just as he got on his bed to lay and ponder his next move, he heard a knock at his door. "Who is it?" He asked, hoping it was either his mom or youngest sister, Brianna.
"It's Bri! May I come in?"
"Sure." He said while advancing over to unlock his bedroom door. He opened it to see his little sister smiling on the other side.
"What are ya doing Joshie?"
"Not much in the past few minutes. Why?"
"Not much, just checking in."
That last statement wasn't as enthusiastic as the others. "You sure. Anything wrong?"
"Nope. I'm all good." She said, not looking her brother in the eye.
Josh could tell his sister was not happy at the moment. It was his duty as her big brother to look out for her. "I can tell your lying, come on and just tell me." He sat down on his bed and motioned for his sister to do the same next to him.
"Okay, well today at school there were some boys that were picking on me. They stole the soccer ball that me and Jenna were playing with at recess."
"Oh really?" Josh was surprised, he didn't remember anyone being like that when he was that age. He decided just to give her some brotherly advice to help his sister out. "Well they're just trying to get into your head. You shouldn't let them ruin your day just because of one little thing they did."
"That's what I thought to myself. But then they pushed Jenna down and she hurt her arm, she said she hopes it won't be broken. Then she wouldn't be able to play on the team." Bri was referring to the all-girls soccer team that she and her friend Jenna played on. "Mom says it's because the boys have crushes on me and Jenna, but I don't think she's right because they're mean to everyone in our grade."
"Wow." He said angry that kids were even capable of being like that and getting away with it.
"I wish that _______ could be _______ so _________." Bri told her brother.
