A bad start for Marisa

Marisa wasn't having a good day at all. She forgot to set her timer last night and was late to school. Her first hour was cooking class. Her teacher, Mr. Smith, was usually very kind. Marisa thought very highly of him. That was, until on day a few months ago. A pretty girl named Cassie forgot to finish her homework, and was forced to stay after school. She didn't come back until a week later. Marisa busted through the door, panting and startling most of the students.
"I'm sorry . . . Mr. . . Smith. ." She said tired.
"That's alright, just take your seat." Marisa sat down and started to concentrate. She got so busy, she forgot she was late. The bell rang, and she packed up her things, ready to go to her next class.
