Daphne encountered what looked to be a piece of a blade. She responded, "Jinkies! A clue!", as she picked up the blade. She noticed that while there were fingerprints on it, there was no blood; not even a red drop.
While examining it, she accidentally made it go through her hand. "Yikes!" She panicked for a bit, until noticing that she was not suffering any pain. In fact, no blood spewed out of her palm. The confused Daphne pulled the blade out and saw a small hole in her hand. She put her hand in a fist, and when she opened it, the hole was gone!
Daphne, of course, was dumbfounded. "What? But how?" She continued testing the blade by slicing off a finger. It fell to the ground as she picked it up. She saw that she could still control the appendage despite it not being attached, as evidenced by her wiggling it. She reattached it to her hand and it healed. It looked like as if it was never cut off to begin with.
Daphne concluded, "So this must be the device that decapitated Velma and me. No wonder I survived. It must be magical, or something." She put the piece of the blade in her pocket. "Maybe I could find another clue that will lead me to Velma's head and my body. I wonder if they're attached." And so, Daphne continued walking her friend's body to solve this case. She eventually...
