Julia sighed as she began to look at the many seemingly useless junk that lay on the dusty shelves of the store. Looking up she could see some remnants of old cobwebs that were carelessly forgotten throughout the years. The items that lay on the shelves ranged from a dusty pendant to some truly weird jade monkey statue. "I think it may have been a mistake to come here." She said to herself tried her best not to touch the dirty shelves.
"Can I help you find something today?" A youthful voice called out from behind her. Julia turned around to see a young girl, who seemed to be no older than herself. "We have a wide array of mystical and scientific artifacts that are at a reasonable price." She motioned around to the many shelves that seemed to go on forever.
"Wait aren't you a little too young to be working?" Julia wondered as she wiped her hands on her shorts.
The young girl chuckled slightly as she heard this. "I may appear young, but I know a lot of things." She brought her hand up to her mouth as if to study Julia a little. "And from what I get from you is that you wish to be taken more seriously and for everyone to stop treating you like a baby?"
"Wha...." Julia replied flabbergasted as she took a couple steps back in shock. "I haven't told anybody about that. How did you know that?"
"How am I supposed to help my customers if I don't know a little about them?" She giggled once more as she brought her hand up to the mouth to cover the giggles coming out. Embarrassed slightly at the slight outburst coming from her body she turned to look again at Julia.
"So do you have something that can help me with that?" Julia wondered as she looked more interested at the now more interesting knick knacks that lay on the shelves.
"My dear..." The young girl replied back as if she was addressing a child instead of somebody her own age. "I have many things that can help you out." She turned and pulled out an old book that seemed to be covered in some type of old leather. "Like this for instance." She held out the book to Julia to eagerly grabbed it. "It won't let you open it until you leave the building." She instructed as Julia stopped trying to open the bound book.
"So what's this book about?" Julia wondered as she looked back at the young girl.
"Oh, it's an old Mayan book, to say it's name I would have to cut out your tongue." The young girl replied back to her. "But it's whats inside the book that matters."
"Well whats inside the book?" Julia asked, trying to get more information.
"I can't tell you that, since it will ruin the surprise." She took the book and put it back on the shelf and pointed out several of the other items. "You have the Orb of Sandreen, which will let you swap something about your life with somebody close to you." She went to the next item. "Then the Urn of Alulu, when you play any game, all the players will write a trait of theirs on a piece of paper and put it into the urn. Then the winner of the game will get all the traits in the pot." She then pointed to a pink and blue bag that had the writing rubbed off because Julia couldn't read anything on it. "Then this bag of sweets that will allow you to make a wish."
Julia looked a little taken aback at all the information. "I really don't know, do you think I'll have enough money for anything?" She pulled out the money out of her back pocket to show her.
"I am sure you will have enough and have a little left over." The young girl chuckled as she motioned around. "So which one will it be?"
