"So do you have an idea of what you would like to buy?" The young woman asked as she put the last bag down and waited patiently for an answer. She smiled as she saw both Richard and Emily looking at the items. As they were looking over the items, the young woman heard a vibration and a muted ring tone.
Emily's face grew redder with frustration as she looked at her husband and sighed. "Go ahead and answer it."
"Are you sure?" He asked before he hurriedly ran outside to take the call to make sure that nobody lost any important accounts.
The young woman seeing the frustration on Emily's face, turned to look at her. "You know, while he's gone." She motioned down towards the counter. "You should go ahead and pick." Looking down, she picked up the bag containing the necklace. "May I suggest the box of games?"
Emily frustrated face soon calmed down by this suggestion. "Why would you suggest that?" She asked as she started to reach for it, but found that path blocked by the young woman.
"Well." The young woman replied as she took a seat on the other side of the counter. "I've noticed that you and your family haven't been as close as you were several years ago." She watched as Emily nodded her head regrettingly. Sadly she was right, with Sarah leaving to go to college several hours away and the other two kids were now either in puberty or starting it and preferred to be with their friends over family.
"So here's the real question." Emily asked as she feared the answer. "How much?" She brought her gaze over to the young girl's face and saw a slight twinkle coming from her eyes.
"Well, you're certainly in luck." She replied with a huge smile. "We're having a special today and that will only be $45.09 for the entire box."
"That's an odd amount." Emily replied as she began to dig through her purse and noticed that's the exact amount that she had in cash. She got it all out and handed it over to the young woman who gladly gave her the box. As she picked it up, she marveled at how light it seemed, Emily had several ideas on how she was going to use it to have fun with whatever games were in this box.
