Nick is a plump young boy about to head off to Eatu Elementary for his first year of school. Thanks to the careful shielding of his parents, he has never really been exposed to monsters. Unfortunately human private schools cost and arm and a leg, so now he has to attend the first grade at the local public school. What awaits him at school? Will he make lots of new friends, or will he be digesting in the tummy of a fellow classmate before recess? One thing's for sure. Being a pudgy little butterball probably won't do him any favors!
Kyle
Age: 9
Is an energetic 4th grader with short, messy brown hair. He loves sports, soccer and kickball especially. Kyle has quite a few friends, monsters and humans, but he also has quite a big mouth. Highly competitive, Kyle likes to tease and mock the people he beats. His biggest rival is Earl, a dragon at least a foot and a half taller, from the 5th grade. Earl has become increasingly angry about losing to Kyle. The two students like to bet, and the stakes keep going up. Pretty soon Kyle could end up taking a bet or a dare he might not want to pay up!
Kyle has an interesting home life. His mother was eaten by an ogre shortly after he was born, leaving him with only a father and an older sister. His father is constantly traveling for work so he's often left in the care of his sister Michelle. Michelle is a witch in training and currently experimenting with size altering magic.
Mikey
Age: 10
Mikey is a timid blond haired boy in the fifth grade. Being shy, thin, and what many adults would deem 'cute' he'd make an excellent meal for most monsters. Well, perhaps not a meal, but a decent enough mid-afternoon snack at least. Fortunately he has protection. Not sharp teeth or claws, like some of his classmates, but something just as effective. Mikey has Courtney, a monster girl who just so happens to be his next door neighbor and best friend.
