Ashley was one of the ten remaining partygoers in this house that hadn't lost their minds and gone insane or been eaten by something bigger. Fortunately they were small enough to escape the notice of the dust mites and anything else that could've eaten them. Unfortunately, because of their size, there wasn't really anything they could use as clothing.
"Another day, another grind." Ashley said as she left her 'house', a little hollow place carved into one of the strands of carpet, the others around her emerging at roughly the same time.
What was, to them, a few yards away was their food source: a large crumb. To the men it was the size of a building, and though they'd been eating it the last few days, they couldn't tell what it was, but they didn't know that it was sweet, so it must've been a cookie or something.
Anyway, after eating their fill, the two couples that shrank together went off into their holes to have a good time, leaving the singles outside to do whatever they felt like they needed to do.
Life in the carpet jungle was simple, but boy was it boring. At least, until the new homeowners arrived....
