Komoe Harumachi, being the young girl that she was, found a lot of things and a lot of people interesting.
Lately, Komoe had become interested in Grace Lin's fortune tellings. She was amazed at the predictions Lin foretold, and was even more amazed when those predictions turned out to be true.
One could imagine Komoe's reaction when Lin revealed that she was also learning magic along with her fortune telling.
"Lin, could you do a magic spell?" Komoe asked one day.
Lin looked at Komoe and smiled. "Sure Komoe." she answered before pulling out her book of spells that she had been reading. Lin flipped through the pages until she came across a spell that said 'GROW'. There wasn't a clear definition about what the spell could do, but Lin was certain that it wasn't going to do anything bad.
Lin chanted the spell. Komoe listened, not understanding any of the words her friend was saying, but she was just happy to see Lin doing magic. Komoe suddenly felt her body warm up, but paid it no mind. Lin eventually finished the spell, unaware that a big change was going to happen.
