He passes out

Akira felt a pain raging in his head. He rubbed his head, trying to get red of it, but that did nothing to help.

"Oh, you're awake," Takemi said. "Welcome back, my little guinea pig."

He didn't like the way she emphasized 'little.' He turned to face the voice and immediately jumped at the sight of Tae Takemi's billboard size face.

"Amazing..." she hummed. "Vitals are stable, motor function is fine. I can't believe it actually worked."

Akira stared up at the giant doctor, still trying to comprehend what happened to him.

"I know you're confused, but just listen, okay?" Takemi asked, writing some notes on her clipboard.

Akira nodded. "Sure."

"I shrunk you."

"Well, that helped," he thought.

Takemi chuckled. "Sorry, I couldn't resist. You look so cute when you're confused." She dropped her index finger on Akira's head and ruffled his hair.

Akira forced himself to stand up. His balance was hazy. "Why?"

"Simple," Takemi hummed. "I needed to test the serum."

He couldn't fault her for being straightforward. Still his mind drifted off to Morgana who was nowhere to be found. "Where's my cat?"

Takemi shrugged. "I don't know. The second you started shrinking, it jumped out of your bag, freaked out, and ran off."

Akira grimaced. "Can you change me back now?"

Takemi shook her head. "I can't do that. I still need to collect some data."

"How am I supposed to get home?" he asked.
