Theodore swallowed down his fear as best as he could (with limited success.) “I... suppose you would be best, sister.”
The lips of his monstrously-sized sister curled upwards into a disarming smile. “Ah, an excellent choice! There was no competition, of course, but I’m glad you come to that conclusion all by yourself.”
Theo grimaced. The choice had been easy to reach when it occurred to him just who was holding his diminutive form far above the cold and unyielding tile floor of the Velvet Room.
Elizabeth brought her hand closer to one of her eyes, the sudden motion lurching Theo’s stomach. Siblings they might be, but the smaller attendant couldn’t help but be chilled to his core as all he could see was the enormous golden eye staring down upon him.
“Now as for the subject of your punishment...”
Elizabeth pouted. This was not her area of expertise - Caroline and Justine had always been far more experienced and enthusiastic when it came to the whole ‘rehabilitation’ thing. She’d be content enough to mess with poor little Theo in any multitude of ways, as her morbid imagination ran wild with the possibilities. Even if it wouldn’t exactly teach him the lesson she wished to impart about daring to touch her beloved desserts, watching him toil away in service to her for a while would alleviate her boredom for the time being.
Considering the subject of his unforgivable crime, however, Elizabeth entertained a delightful devious idea in her head - she still had some flan left (albeit not the premium kind that had been stolen from her.) If Theo was so fanatical about flan that he’d betray her for just a taste, then she'd be all too happy to give him all the flan he ever wanted. Elizabeth felt her heart race at the mischievous mental image of scooping him up amidst the treat and imagining the look on his face.
Then again, maybe she was thinking a little too inside the metaphorical box right now. There was only so much she could subject Theo to within the confines of the Velvet Room. Elizabeth pondered if the human world could offer some previously-unthought possibility. The attendant always did enjoy her trips to the other side and bringing Theo along would lead to a comedic outcome. She had absolutely no doubt in her mind about that.
