Bertha, Tomb-Raiding Wrecking Ball

Ever since she was a little riolu pup, Bertha has been fascinated by the history of the world. All of the ruins of civilizations long gone were especially wondrous, and seeing them on screen always gave her a rush.

And so, Bertha took up the mantle of an archeologist, training and studying for all of her formative years. She was there when the Sinjoh Ruins were first discovered... and was there when the disaster happened.

Fifteen gunman in all, more than enough to overwhelm the digsite team. The ransacked the camp, stole the relics on site, and then rushed off, all while shooting Bertha in the shoulder for giggles. News reports mere weeks later connected dots between these assailants and millionaire Gus Holbrook, who used his vast wealth to avoid charges.

Whereas most would despair, Bertha only found drive. This righteous anger drove her to extend beyond her old ambitions; it wasn't enough to find the past. It was up to her to protect it. And so, Bertha would undergo rigorous training in moves, acrobatics and hand-to-hand combat. With these new skills and her portly frame, she'd be dubbed "The Wrecking Ball" by those inside her circle, and she has been able to stop many a theft ever since.
