"Oh, it does work." Mild interest coming from a bored teenager with way too much time on his hands. The TV's camera on the nature documentary suddenly panned down, to focus on the now woman-headed snake.
"Ssssso, asss you can-" A cough. The freak of nature flicked out her forked tongue. "Sorry about that. Do that when my mind wanders-"
And she continued speaking on about the wonders of the king cobra. A notable decrease in the amount of pictures though. Much of it was just her slithering back and forth and showing off her body. It was when she opened her mouth wide to show off her fangs when Mr. Kratos was interrupted.
He was just lucky enough to stow away his magic wand, which looked more like a stick, before he was booted out the house. Something about needing to get "fresh air."
Ah, the smell of manure. How he had missed it. Such was the joy of being on the farm. His parents were out, so he was carted off to Ritchie's farm. He wondered why they bothered. His house was walking distance. But, it was a fate he could only attribute to diving intervention. As soon as he found a wand that, as the label put it, could, to put it succinctly 'swap, merge, morph and fuse a human with other species,' he was given the news. Even moreso was that the Ritchie family, being the magnanimous people they were, would entertain him by bringing him to the zoo sometime later.
But, those were plans for later. For now, John was bored, outdoors, and had a world of possibilities ahead of him. None of those possibilities involving his prized videogames, for those had been locked up before his parents left, and only this bizarre wand.
