The day seemed to be running smoothly for Elizabeth, a little too smoothly. Ever since Emma came to take over the store, she seemed to have a little more time to spend down on the floor to ensure that everything was done to company standards. Looking around the store Elizabeth noticed that everybody, including Liam, was busy. She couldn't help but chuckle at that fact. "What are you chuckling at?" Liz asked as she looked at her supervisor.
"Oh, nothing." Elizabeth replied back to her. 'It's funny that it takes a new store manager coming on to get things done.' It seemed that over the past year that she was the acting General Manager, nothing seemed to get done and it was like an abundance of super natural circumstances were keeping everybody from doing their jobs. "It seems like it may be a little quiet today." Elizabeth sighed as she looked around the seemingly dead store.
Almost as if on queue, a plume of acrid, black smoke bellowed from the center of the store and a odd looking man dressed in a blue cloak with weird symbols stitched into it with some gold thread. "Ah, it's good to be back in..." He took a moment to look at his notebook. "Ah, Rotherham. It's been almost a century since I've been here." He muttered to himself.
"Umm... Excuse me." Elizabeth started to berate the odd looking man. "But we closed over a half an hour ago." She showed him the watch on her wrist as if to emphasize the point.
"Are you kidding me?!?" Liz nearly shouted as she marched over to where the two of them were standing. "He appears out of a puff of smoke and that's what you ask him?" She looked up at the smoke detectors and was happy to see that they hadn't gone off and that there wasn't a hole in the ceiling where the man could have appeared from. Better yet, she was glad that everyone seemed to still be doing their jobs and disregarded what was happening at the front of the store.
"Oh, don't worry about anything my dear." The strange looking man answered back to Liz, who seemed a little perturbed at the sudden appearance of the man out of nowhere. "Let me take this time to introduce myself." He cleared his throat and brought his arms out. "I am the Marvelous Eorlund." He waited for a moment to let it sink in and for them to gasp in surprise, but was surprised when nothing happened. "Seriously, you haven't heard of me!?" He sighed in annoyance at the lack of knowledge they had about their town's history.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Armond." Elizabeth began to berate the older gentleman, but you're going to need to leave.
"It's Eorlund." The old man corrected as he reached into his blue cloak and pulled out a small pocket book. "And since you haven't heard of me, it appears that I will need to show you what I can do." Speaking in an odd language that neither of the ladies could figure out, Eorlund voice seemed to carry out throughout the store and everybody that was there stopped to see where the odd voice was coming from.
"Okay Mr. Eorlund" Elizabeth corrected as she started to grab the man's arm to 'help' guide him to the exit. "You have to leave."
The old man stopped what he was doing and looked at Elizabeth. "How dare you grab the All Powerful Eorlund." He announced with a more authoritative tone. "The occupants of this building will feel my wrath." He continued his seemingly incoherent ramblings and abruptly ended. When he ended, Eorlund clapped his hands in front of him and let out a bright light engulfing the entire store. When the light cleared everyone noticed that...
