A Gift from the Village - Now that Chihaya is free from her employment with "The Assembly of Divine Power", her little fortune telling stand is finally making her a substantial profit! Not only that, but her clairvoyant abilities are getting her a lot of attention...but not all of it is good attention. One day, Chihaya discovers a small box on her door step. Inside the box is a crudely made doll of a young girl, with an Ofuda attached to it, the Kanji for "retribution" scrawled onto it. Chihaya is deeply troubled by this and tosses the doll in a nearby dumpster. Later that night, Chihaya has trouble sleeping, an ominous bloated feeling enveloping her...
A Blessing for The Maiden - Every morning, before Chihaya opens her stand for the day, she practices deep meditation in order to hone her abilities. However, this upcoming morning was the start of the Summer Solstice, an important series of days for someone with like Chihaya. To prepare for what will undoubtedly be a busy weekend for the fortune teller, Chihaya practices her deep meditation before she goes to bed, with another session to follow in the morning. During this late night meditation, she goes deeper in her meditative state than she had ever gone before, so deep that it almost felt like she was...touching something. Or someone.
