Ashley frowned at the unconscious boy before her. The potion was a failure...well, it had the intended effect of making him shorter. Much, much shorter. "Perhaps I used too much cowbane..." Ashley said to herself as she observed 9-Volt on the floor, lightly snoring...at around 4 inches tall. She'd had to collect up his clothes from around him, but decided to do him a kindness and cover his body with a handkerchief, leaving only his head exposed.
"Back to the drawing board." Ashley said, disappointed. For now, she needed to make a simple mixture that'd shrink down clothes. At least that was easier to do than anything that would be classified under the category of 'alive and breathing'. With a sigh she started to gather the ingredients that'd be used for that. Then she'd concern herself with attempt two of this potion...and growing the boy she supposed. She'd need to look into that too. Eventually when she had the time. Taking one last look at the shrunken 9-Volt she went to go get Red. This was going to be an awkward explanation.

9-Volt started to feel consciousness return to him as he groaned. He didn't quite open his eyes yet, but his whole body felt stiff. He was laying on something soft he noted, and something that felt like a heavy blanket was on top of him. Though the texture of it felt...odd. He groaned before also realizing that his head felt lighter...and exposed. He didn't have his helmet on! He snapped his eyes open as he looked around. His surroundings were alien to him, he was on a soft surface that expanded out quite a ways in each direction, and looking at each edge it looked like a solid plummet to a hard floor. The thing that had been covering him was black and looked to be a large blanket...and the last thing he noticed was he was...with a blush he looked around and found his clothes, promptly putting them on as he started to wonder just what was going on. He was glad to be with his helmet again as he breathed a sigh of relief.
Let's see, he had taken that potion from Ashley that was supposed to take off a few centimeters of height, and it was then that he passed out. As these thoughts came, he felt a small boom. It wasn't much, but it caught him off guard. Another, closer and slightly more powerful one followed that as something was coming. Something large...and as he looked towards its direction he noted what looked to be a looming, giant entryway into here...in fact, it looked like a doorway. And the surface he was on...reminded him a lot of a bed. And the looming shelves, and...
9-Volt felt a chill run down his spine as he thought he knew what had happened to him, and in a few seconds his fears were confirmed as the booms revealed themselves to be the main reason for his current problem.
Looming high, far above him was the largest living thing he'd seen. Someone that would rival possibly even WarioWare Inc. Headquarters. Or would at least be larger than any other building in Diamond City. With her red flowing dress, piercing red eyes that now struck him as orbs that, when fixed on him, reminded him of the feeling he had when his mom would check on him at night. Her pigtails, now looked to be extensions of this impossibly large beast that was looking right at him. He couldn't help but cower as he saw Ashley, and she crossed the threshold that was her door, proceeding towards the diminished boy.
"9-Volt...the potion I used on you was a failure. I'm sorry for that." She said, her voice calm even as her face looked slightly more downtrodden than usual.
9-Volt surmised that this was NOT the intended effect then...which meant this didn't go according to Ashley's or Red's plan. He was almost afraid to ask, but he needed to do it. "Y-you can fix this, right?" 9-Volt asked, his voice coming out as a bit of a squeak to the mediocre witch before him.
"I've already got Red out procuring ingredients that should grow you back. I was able to shrink your clothes down, but for now i'm afraid that it might take some time. I did at least manage to perfect the potion I used on you though, and it did work. I managed to knock two centimeters off." She gave a small smile at this.
The difference in HER height though, was not apparent to 9-Volt as she was larger than he'd ever seen her by a ridiculous margin. It would be comical to consider her shorter than she'd been just a few hours ago, but that only reinforced how absolutely puny 9-Volt himself was. And another, potentially more horrifying fact loomed in his head as he considered just how much time had probably passed.
"Ashley, what time is it?" He asked, dreading the answer as she tilted her head.
"It's probably around 11 or so now." She stated simply as his stomach plummeted, the giant witch coming closer to the bed, reinforcing how giant she was.
"Oh no! I am so dead! Mom is going to kill me!" 9-Volt lamented as Ashley sighed.
"As it stands I could call her with my wand if you want her to pick you up." Ashley said, almost like that wouldn't be an issue. Was she trying to get rid of him right now until the potion was done? If his mom found out what he did, he didn't only fear for himself...but he feared for Ashley. Magical abilities or no, his mom was downright horrifying when angered, and he'd bet his entire Game & Watch collection on her coming out on top. Still, he didn't know if staying with the witch was a better solution to his problems either, considering how isolated she was it would maybe be better to at least be with his mom who he knew could take care of him, even if she'd never let him...play....games again...9-Volt was caught in a terrible situation when a third option came to mind, though he didn't know if Ashley would feel insulted by him trying to find alternative means to cure him.
