You saw you were coming close to a corner with "Good Omen" written over it. The three of you had no idea what could be in store for you here. This weird lady obviously had some sort of magic up her sleeve, which could mean anything could happen. Soon, you saw the "Good Omen" itself, and you had no idea what to think. On a table in the corner, you saw a relatively large, mahogany board. On one end, you saw a half circle with "START" carved into it. A long, curving rode of blocks connect that half circle to another half circle with "GOOD OMEN" carved into it. You saw 30 spaces between the start and "Good Omen" space. Some of the tiles were a different color, and they had phrases carved into them. A few of them had some flavor text carved into them, followed by something like "Skip Your Next Turn."
"Our saving grace is a board game?" you asked incredulously.
"No no no no!" the lady stuttered out. "It's a sophisticated device I constructed under the strict orders of spirits. Those facing bad omens simply need to comply with the rules of this device and, after starting at 'Start,' cross the path until they reach 'Good Omen.' You'll each be handed a movement device your size. You'll take that device and roll it. Whatever number comes up, you cross that many omen squares. If you land on a square with writing carved into it, I must follow those omens. When you reach 'Good Omen,' you're bad omens will dissipate."
You all couldn't believe your ears. You were gambling, quite possibly your very lives on a board game. You weren't sure whether to be deeply offended or terrified. "To determine who goes when, I'll roll you out real quick. Brace yourselves." Suddenly, she tilted the jar, and you all fell out. You each tumbled down, you first, then Maria, then Kevin.
"C'mon, let's get off of this thing," Marisa said. She began to walk towards the carving marking the border to "Start," when the giant lady put a hand in front of her, stopping her.
"Hang on! If you don't follow the rules, the omens will never leave you!" she said. Marisa backed away, and the lady began to fish in a compartment on the side. She pulled out, clenching something in her hand. She dropped something on the Start space, and you saw the "transportation devices" were, in fact, tiny, six sided dice. They were still half your size, but they were tiny for the lady. "The pirate was first, so he must roll first."
You each grabbed a die, and decided you didn't want to risk ticking her off. You could only play her game now. You each got into position, you right in behind the border. "6 spaces away, I see 'You stumbled onto a bog of eternal stench! You're forced to stay there for one turn.' 2 spaces away, I see 'You wandered onto a monster's platter! You're trapped until the other subject or subjects roll a sum of eight.' Do remember I must follow the omen as written. Please don't hold what I do against me."
"What on Earth could that mean?" you asked, too quietly for her to hear. You decided you may as well play this out for now. She wasn't going to let you out of the play area. You held the die overhead, and threw it forward. You heard it clack against the board as it rolled and tumbled, before eventually stopping on one side. The lady looked over at the die, before declaring how many spaces you were moving. You were gonnna move...
