“YESS! FREEDOM!” cried an orange clad blonde throwing his fists up as beside him a girl and boy both groaned dropping their heads in an exaggerated display of annoyance. The act causing the titular shouting teen to glance round.
“Hu? Sai Sakura? What’s up?”
“Naruto try and act a bit more… dignified, Your on your way to become a Kage.” Sakura all but moaned her green eyes locking onto the blonds as he lowered his arms, though his face was still split into a familiar foxy grin.
“Hehe oh right, well I’ll keep that in mind.” Nodded Naruto as he turned to dart away across the rooftops. Dashing off towards his apartment, the lights of the town slowly coming to life as the sun set beyond Konoha’s walls, the whisker faced blond idly thought about what his teammate and longtime friend had said.
‘more dignified…’ “Well how does that even work,” he huffed frowning a bit as he lept to a second rooftop, idly thinking back to the people he’d know as Kage. One an old grandfather that was a perv… second a gambling drinking woman that dressed as though she were a teenagers trying to catch a boy’s eyes.
*Snort* “hehehe yeah dignified.” He chuckled pausing to look back at the Hokage monument, his eyes settling on the face of his father, as he slowed to a stop. The fourth…now there was a kage… hmmmm.
“Well I guess Sakura’s right I should try.” He sighed nodding towards the stone faces lifting a fist towards them. “Ha try I’ll be greater than any of them dattabanyo that’s a promise!” he called before dashing off to his apartment. Ignorant as he was to the strange little ripple that seemed to be coming from the heavens following after him.
Soon enough Naruto was inside his apartment, a small serving of Ramen long since sacrificed to his belly as he dropped into bed, his eyes looking out at the village now bathed under the moonlight. The moon hu… hard to believe he’d been there not too long ago, fighting a new villain, saving Hinata-chan, hmmmm maybe Hinata-chan will know about being dignified….
With these thoughts slipping through his mind Naruto slowly fell asleep, missing as he did the strange green chakra that seemed to be seeping down through the moon’s rays and over his sleeping body, the world round him rippling as something began to change. Seems that Naruto’s adventures were just beginning.
