You’d need to get the perfect card to ensure your victory and you didn’t want to risk it, despite your brain begging you to act like a hot shot. You shake your head at the cat dealer, “I’ll stay.” The cat raised a furry brow and grinned, “Smart kid.”
The human lady sitting across from you was feeling much more cocky, “Hit, please.” The human woman received two cards. Once she saw them she gasped in shock. She received a King and a Jack. She groaned in annoyance, her points were now above 21, she had lost. The cat also was not able to quite reach over your 20 point score. With a smile she moved the human ladies chips over to you, “It looks like we have a winner.” With an angry huff, the woman got out of her seat and left. The feline dealer giggled, “Huh, sore loser…”
The cat smiled at you, patting you on the shoulder, “Nice job.” She dutifully picked up your card and the rest scattered across the green, fuzzy table. She stacked them all back into a neat deck and shuffled them lazily, “So… wanna go one-on-one with me? Maybe we can raise the stakes on your next bet?
