Alternate End to the Friendship Games

She does not want to do it. She does not want want to open the pendant in her hands.

But the enormous pressure from Principal Cinch and her classmates was just too much for Twilight Sparkle. For the reputation of the Academy (in Cinch's eyes) was on the line if she does not use the "magic" right. now.

With shaking hands, Twilight reluctantly began to open the pendant. Time suddenly slowed down as the magic within glowed an eery dark purple. Cinch and most of her students watched with growing anticipation, for sure that they will win the Friendship Games again. At the same time, Canterlot's former bully/"Queen", Sunset Shimmer, and Twilight's dog, Spike raced to stop Twilight from opening the pendant.

But alas, it was too late as Twilight opens the pendant out comes a small ball of energy.

Before it suddenly erupts in a bright flash of light, temporarily blinding everyone and instantly knocking those nearest down from the shockwave. Except for Twilight, who still stood with the pendant open, but lost her glasses and her hair is no longer tight up in a bun from the shockwave.

Barely anyone could react before the ball of energy suddenly changed size and now towered over Twilight, consuming her outstretched hands in the process!

Panicking, Twilight tried to pull her hands away but found that they were firmly stuck! Then things to a turn for the worst as Twilight began to be pulled into the thing! No one could do anything but watch frozen in horror as Twilight lets out a strained cry for help before she gets consumed into the light.

Then the ball of energy began to shrink and Twilight, in the middle of it, felt the magic being absorbed into her body. She hugged herself as she winced in pain, feeling as though every fiber of her body, from her muscles and to her bones, was being pulled and stretched.

Twilight didn't notice at first, but that at that moment, she was starting to grow bigger.
