This choice: Inkling girl from Splatoon • Go Back...
Chapter #7
A Fresh Start with the Squid
by: Unknown
You could try to explain the events that lead to where you are now. But honestly, at this point all of that stuff seems trivial to you right now. The short version of it all is that you somehow ended up in a huge (in every sense of the word) City with gigantic inhabitants with tentacles for “hair” they looked oddly familiar, but for a bit you couldn’t quite put your finger on just who these things were. Then you ended up getting spotted and found yourself in the palm of a gigantic orange tentacle haired girl with a white T-shirt with some logo on it and black shorts. It finally clicked in your head just where you were and who this creature was. This was... somehow, the fictional world of the video game, Splatoon. Which means that you’re now... somehow in a fictional world from a Nintendo game. One where humans went extinct millions of years ago and cephalopods like squids and octopi evolved into the dominant species in their absence. Since that point, you’ve more or less been this Squid girl’s pet in a sense. She tried communicating with you, but her language was completely beyond you. It seemed vaguely like English which helped you sort of understand what she tried to convey to you, but a lot of it still seemed like gibberish to you. Over time you slowly picked up on some of her language. The familiar bits of it did help, but there was still a barrier. Perhaps their spoken language was based on leftovers of ancient (to them) human civilization. Either way it would still be some time before you have a full understanding of what she’s saying to you.
Today was like any other day. You were kept in a plastic terrarium with decent ventilation. She’d occasionallt poke your container making a cute face. You assume she’s calling you cute or something but you’re still shaky on the language. Some days she grabs what looks like a water gun and run off presumably to take part in turf wars, but today was differant. Today the Squid girl seemed to want to spend some time with you. Her curious tiny pet who looked like an ancient civilization that stories described as much bigger. You didn’t even bother to resist. It’s not like you had any place to run. This at least gave you a bit more freedom. As the inkling looked down at you resting in her palm. She contemplated what to do with you.
