As Link got ready for his trip to Hyrule Castle, Midna used her magic to see what would happen next (despite being his partner for this adventure, she wasn’t entirely sure what happened before they met). She saw that King Bulblin would arrive soon and smiled.
“Ah yes, I remember him.” She said to herself. The woman decided to change him up a bit for the future. The first thing she did was turn the king into a female. She then made her more fit and beautiful. “Now she’ll be stronger and harder to resist.” The last thing Midna did was make Queen Bulblin a bit more cruel to both her enemies and her minions.
The Twili smiled at her work and started to watch, thinking about what she should change next. Link soon reached Illia, Colin, and Epona. As Illia spoke to Link, Midna started to feel a bit jealous. After all, she lived in the same world as Link which meant Illia spent more time with him.
The moment was ruined when the two board charged through the gate. Midna watched as Link was knocked out just before their leader appeared. The woman chuckled as the monster stopped next to Link, not realizing he was there.
“Yes, this is it: the location of the final spirit.” Queen Bulblin said. She raised her horn and blew into it, making a dark portal appear above.
“Mistress, we got some interesting catches. Can we keep them?” One of the Bulblins asked, holding Colin.
“No, we’ll leave the kids somewhere to die. However, give me her.” The queen pointed to Illia. When the monster had her in hand, she gave the unconscious girl a taste. The queen moaned before licking her lips. Midna flinched as Illia started to enter the hungry mouth. After a moment, she sighed and decided to intervene.
“No, don’t eat her. You’ll eventually encounter a stronger prey, one more tasty than her.” Midna whispered to the queen. The woman hesitated before tossing Illia onto one of the boars.
“We’ll take her for now. She’s not worth eating.” The monsters all charged out, leaving Link on the ground. When he woke up, he looked around and realized what happened. He started to run after them, soon encountering the twilight realm. Before he could react, a shadow beast pulled him in.
Midna immediately hesitated when she saw the beast. It was, after all, one of her people corrupted by Zant. Zant…that name still sparked fury inside Midna. She wanted to destroy him right there and then for everything he had done and was going to do. She decided to wait though. After all, it could lead to a fun opportunity for her.
After Link transformed into a wolf, Midna followed behind, she knew her past self was also following and was careful to avoid her. The twili followed Link all the way to Hyrule Castle and watched as he was chained up. Midna decided that if she was going to change something, now would be the best time while Link was unconscious and her past self was still hiding.
She thought carefully about this. One idea she had was telling her past self what was going on and let her in on the fun in some way. It might also be interesting to see how her past self would react to some challenges that her future self would create. Midna took a second to rub her head. Thinking about a past and future self was a bit confusing. After a moment, she eventually decided on…
