You step through the door that says Kayla Queen, and suddenly there’s a bright flash. When you can see again, you notice that you are seated in what appears to be a dressing room. You still have your own body, but you are dressed in different clothing.
You hear a knock on the dressing room door, so you go to open it. In walks a woman who looks to be in her forties, with a big smile on her face.
“Kayla, sweetie, that was amazing!” she tells you. “I knew they would love you! This show is going to be a big hit!”
Suddenly, you know exactly what’s going on. You can’t explain it, but you know who this woman is and what she’s talking about.
She’s your agent. Well, she’s Kayla Queen’s agent. That’s you. Kayla. You’re a thirteen year old girl who dreams of being a big Hollywood star. Your agent, Diana, had managed to get you on a new tv show on a kid’s network. You had just finished filming all of your scenes for the first episode, and Diana was coming to congratulate you.
You smile at her. “Thanks Mrs. Jones. You were a big help!” Somehow, that just felt like what you were supposed to say.
Diana hugged you, then turned to leave. “I have other work to do, honey, but I’ll talk to you again soon. Say hi to your mom for me!” And with that, she went on her way.
So, you’re an actress on a tween sitcom now. Do you decide to stay in this life for a while, look for a new one, or go back to being plain old Jess Randolph.
