Dani trudged to detention looking down at the ground her normally pale face even more void of color.

"It's the lovebirds. Skipped class for your own pleasure?" The class snickers as Lauren stares at her desk her face red out of total embarrassment.

Dani was shell shocked as she was still standing in the doorway.

She felt tears come up in her throat but held them back.

Lauren's body language didn't help ease her fears.

The teasing kept coming as the selectively deaf teacher doesn't seem to care.
