As the Ninetales of local legends approaches you, it first looks as if she's a normal-sized Ninetales. But it almost seems as if she's walking in place and growing as she does so, playing tricks on your eyes. She then walks right next to you.
Upon having a much closer look at her she's quite a bit bigger than you, towering over your simple human form. Perhaps altering her size is something she can do, or mabye she's simply using illusions to make herself appear gigantic. Before you can come to a conclusion, she lies right next to you, grabbing you with her big bundle of tails and pulling you to her side almost as if to say, "It's real, kiddo."
You actually feel quite comfortable as you're covered in the enormous tails, and you even pet them. She almost seems to have taken a liking to you. You then remember a few more stories, stating that she has a dominion of sorts over the forest and can allow her to alter reality as she pleases within this domain, and you wonder just what else this huge fox has cooked up.
