With some time to kill before the shrink ray was ready to restore him to his normal size, Derek slowly crawled underneath his door into the hallway. The hallway was seemed pitch black and he tried his best to walk towards his parents room. His mindset was that by the time he got there, he could hang out in safety and wait for the shrink ray to recharge. If his dad woke up and noticed him, even better, he could grow him back.
After several minutes, Derek had made it across the hallway and had slipped under his parents door. The carpet made walking difficult but he continued to trek forward regardless towards their bed.
"Fucking finally," Derek panted as he reached the foot of his parents bed. He could hear his dad breathing deeply while his mom was emitting a very non-lady-like snore.
Being in excellent shape, Derek had an idea of how to get onto the bed. The ant-sized high schooler began to climb up the bed sheet which was draping to the floor. It was incredibly difficult and he ended up collapsing from exhaustion once he reached the summit, but Derek made it.
Derek could see the shape of a giant foot in front of him. He could tell it was his mom's giant foot and proceeded to climb onto her giant, middle toe. "This is amaz..." Derek started to say before his mom moved in her sleep. Derek was flung off her giant toe towards the head of the bed.
Derek hit the blanket hard and rolled. In a desperate attempt to get back to his feet he grabbed the first large object he saw. It turned out this was a hand. Derek screamed as the hand encircled him and began to move.
