"Hey man, let's stick together," Johnny said. "I mean, I've never done this before."
"It's all good bro, no problem." Derek said trying to reassure his friend. He understood and knew there would be time to spy on Johnny's mom some other time.
"So how does this work?"
"Well just stand there and I'll shrink you," Derek replied. "Then I'll shrink myself and the gun will shrink with me."
"Alright," Johnny said, taking a deep breathe. He got up in the middle of the room. "Let's do this!"
Johnny held out his arms and closed his eyes. Derek smiled. "You look so stupid right now," he said with a laugh.
"Fuck off and pull the trigger," Johnny responded.
Derek pulled the trigger and the beam struck Johnny. Derek watched in amazement as his best friend dwindled down to a mere 1/2 inch tall. "Alright you're good," Derek said, his voice echoing throughout the room.
Johnny opened his eyes and locked at the vast landscape that was now his room. He stared up at his best friend who looked like a god. He observed Derek aim the shrink ray at himself. "Going down in 3....2...."
Derek pulled the trigger at 1 and was also reduced to 1/2 inch tal. The two tiny friends met in the middle of the room.
"Dude this is incredible," Johnny said.
"Yeah let's explore you're house.
Derek and Johnny walked around their room. Their ant sized frames looked truly minuscule. While they were preoccupied taking in the sights, they could hear the floor start to rumble. She turned and saw the giant door to Johnny's room open, and a female figure enter. She was barefoot and cast an intimidating stature.
"JOHNNY? DEREK? ARE YOU GUYS HERE?" The woman called out.
