Lisa let out an annoyed sigh. She didn't feel like walking back to her car in the heat, but figured it was better to have her phone on her. Afterall, the building doors were probably locked. Returning to her car, she shot off a quick text to her dad explaining that she was here and wanted to help with whatever projects he was working on.
Feeling her phone vibrate, Lisa realized she received a text from her dad saying, "Great, I'll meet you outside th bathrooms near my office." Surprised the doors to the buildings were not locked, Lisa made her way to the bathrooms where she saw her dad waiting.
"Morning sweetie," Steve said, giving Lisa a hug. "I'm glad you're here today, I could use a hand resting the machine."
"Which machine?" Lisa asked.
"The shrink ray," Steve responded. "I've got a larger, more powerful version here. Steve proceeded to unlock a the door to a room which used to be his office. Inside of the room, the ceiling, floors, and walls were all white. The only thing unusual was a black Dodge Charger just sitting in the middle of the room.
"What's all this?" said Lisa.
"I guess you could call this a shrinking chamber," Steve said wth a smile. "Cmon, I'll take you to the control room."
Steve took her to his new office right next door. There were several monitors which appeared to have camera footage of the other room in there. Steve decided to take this opportunity to discuss his proposed plan with Lisa.
"Okay sweetie, what I want to test today is how effective the shrink ray will be on non-living objects, if there is organic matter inside. For that I need one of us to be in the car while the other one shrinks it."
