In a alternate universe the human race wasn't the only intelligent species.
During the Mesopotamia Times giant dragons appeared out of nowhere. Humananity, foolish to believe they could kill the massive beasts sent out their armies and in the end all battles ended with the dragons simply crushing the forces underfoot.
The proclaimed king of the dragons offered a ultimatum, surrender and become pets or be snuffed out like insects.
With no other option early humanity was now known as the pets to the dragons. Although this was met with resistance over the span of thousands of years of being pets, humananity came to accept their roles. They still were treated like intelligent creatures but were owned by a dragon.
Some were lucky and had kind owners that treated them as people. Others were less lucky and got cruel owners who would be far less then gentle, even treating their pets more like servants.
This brings us to now. You sat in your glass case lazily looking out the window. Other humans sat away from you and chatted or played games, but you sat alone as always. Dragons and humans seemed to want nothing to do with you. All the dragons that came in never picked you because you looked too grumpy and the humans didn't want to be brought down by your mood.
You didn't have a positive outlook on life, between the fact that you were an orphan and that you were the oldest at 18 years old and still haven't been adopted yet. But that was going to change.
You felt booming footsteps as the shop owner came to the case, this meant someone was getting adopting. The green scaled dragon that came into view wore a tight black tank top that showed off his firm biceps and pecs and some sweats. The owner was fairly young and nice to almost anyone including the pets acting as a big brother to them.To your surprise he looked at you and smiled.
"Hey little guy, guess what someone picked you!", he said bringing his hand down for you to climb on which you did slowly. "R...realy"?, you crooked out.
"Yeah he called in advance to insure everything and your ready to go.", he said making his way to the front.
He soon stopped and looked down with a sad smile. "You know even though you may have felt grumpy being here I'm going to miss you. Like the way you pout and how you use to sit on my snout", he said bringing you to his face and rubbing you with his snout. You knew you were going to miss him too so you hugged his nose one last time.
You soon came to the front and saw your new owner...
