This choice: Celebi  •  Go Back...
Chapter #5

The wrong side of the forest

    by: Unknown
Life can be really weird at times.

It was life itself that led you to take a walk in the woods for no apparent reason. For you, it was just a way to get rid of the stressful city, if only for a few hours.

Clean air, nice views and most importantly, sheer, unbroken, wonderful silence.

Your hands in your pockets, you wandered around the forest, sunlight seeping through the curtains of green leaves above, giving this place an almost surreal appearance.

You had already came in these woods before, just wishing to explore, pleasing your adventurous side, the same adventurous side you let down by refusing to become a pokemon trainer and follow a normal life.

Not that you didn't like pokemon, you just had no wish of pursuing fame or power like every trainer did. You liked to consider yourself a humble person.

Still, there were numerous, though casual times were you got the chance to see pokemon from up close.

For example, there were plenty of critters usually coming near your place seeking for food or, in case of particularly playful ones, a playmate.

Like your neighbor's Meowth, who apparently never got tired of sneaking inside your house to steal stuff and watch you struggle to retrieve it with its hateful grin on its face.

Pokemon simply entertain you for a while before leaving, and it was perfect like this.

And in these occasional walks through the woods, you always saw plenty of pokemon, who would briefly observe you before taking its leave, startled by the sudden appearance of a human.

Today seemed like any other one you decided to take a walk.

You could never guess how wrong you were.

Usually, you never ventured too deep in these woods lest you met some particularly dangerous pokemon; but today, you decided to get rid of that stupid fear of yours.

You never met any dangerous pokemon, what could go wrong if you just went a little deeper?

Soon, you came to a point where vegetation became thicker, where sunlight struggled to penetrate with the result of this part of the woods being darker.

A bit spooked but not daunted, you kept walking, curious to see what was on this side of the forest.

Back in town, several stories were told, the most famous being the one that a powerful pokemon resided deep in this forest.

You wondered what'd happen if you ran into such beast and if it was anything but friendly.

You shivered slightly at the sensation, but kept walking... only to come to a halt shortly after - haven't you already gone past that weirdly-shaped tree? You were sure you did.

Shrugging, you decided you must have been mistaking and resumed walking, though you could not deny you were beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable.

Then, you began feeling a new though familiar sensation - you were being watched.

Hastily, you looked around, spotting nothing. Yet you were sure you heard a noise behind you...

Okay, now you were officially scared and began looking around frenetically, the same noise you were sure you heard ringing around.

Finally your gaze landed on a particular tree... on a branch, you spotted a Pidgey chirping.

Tranquilized, you put a hand to your chest, waiting for your heart to calm down while mentally scolding yourself for being scared.

There was nothing to be scared of here, you mused while taking a step, then another, resuming your walk.

However, the sensation you were being watched didn't end, and once again fear began invading your heart.

That was it, you decided before turning around, this was the end of your stroll.

As you were about to walk away the way you came from, your gaze casually landed on what appeared to be... something flying through the air and behind a tree.

A tiny hand poked out from behind said tree as well a shining blue eye, which briefly landed on you before its owner retreated upon taking notice you were aware of its presence.

Confused, startled and curious, you made your way to the tree, cautiously peering behind it to see-

You were stunned to indescribable levels.

In front of you, staring at you with an intimidated gaze, was a small, slim green pokemon, hovering in mid-air thanks to a pair of tiny wings on its back; it had bright blue eyes and two tiny antennae on top of its head, which was shaped like a seed. Dark eyelids surrounded the eyes of the creature, who also has long, slender arms but almost comically short legs with petite, toeless feet.

A quick glance at the pokemon's lower body made you blush furiously as you spotted its-

Weren't legendary supposed to be genderless? Because this one was clearly a female, you mused awkwardly.

All of a sudden, you realized the stories they told back in town were true - there WAS a powerful pokemon living deep in this forest.

And what pokemon could be more powerful than the mythical Celebi?

You stepped back - you just got to meet Celebi, which could easily be the equivalent of striking gold!

"Hey there little one," you began after calming down a little - though she was considered very very powerful, this creature was supposed to be friendly,
"Did I scare you? I'm sorry." you reached out a hand to pet the head of the legendary, who briefly glanced at your hand, then back at you.

"Now, if you just allow me to-" your hand slid towards your pocket.

You intended to just take out your phone to take a picture of the legendary, but she evidently mistook your intentions.

Perhaps she thought you wanted to pull out a poke-ball or some sort of weapon to stun her, point is the time-traveler didn't let you.

A cry came from the Celebi as she extended her paw forward, blasting you with a psychic attack which sent you flying; surprised, you didn't even notice when your head hit a tree.

You were already unconscious before you ungracefully fell to the ground.

As for the legendary who struck you, she hoverer over your body, her tiny hands over her mouth.

Her move had a side effect she did not know about, she noted.

The legendary tried to reverse what she had done, not wanting to leave a harmless creature, not even a human, to such fate.

Sadly, the fairy couldn't do anything for your current situation despite all of her efforts.

A sigh escaped her lips.

How did she even manage to shrink someone to such pathetically small size, she wondered.

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. You woke up, finding yourself in the paws of the Celebi...

*Pen*
2. You woke up, still in the forest... alone...

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
