Sword Art Online is an Anime with many layers and worlds to explore, from Aincrad to Alfheim and Gun Gale Online, and all the other worlds born from "The Seed" given to Kirito by Akihiko Kayaba. This story can go to any of these destinations and one more, the real world were characters can also shrink. One interesting concept you can take from this anime is double shrinking, shrinking a characters Avatar and their real life bodies if and when they wake up. This way the story can continue, of course that only works if you start in the virtual world. This concept doesn't apply if taking place during the two years the original cast was trapped in Aincrad. Just putting the idea out there for future reference. Now, who will shrink and how?
1. While still trapped playing SAO Kirito was on a quest to unlock a rare item, however this rare item turns out to be a size changing crystal that automatically activates when he attempts to appraise it. Shrinking Kirito down to an inch tall. Soon after Silica arrives in the dungeon via teleport crystal, noticing the shrunken black swordsman at her feet.
2. Kirito finds himself shrunk on top of a chair inside of Asuna's apartment on the 61st floor of Aincrad, before he can think of a way outside of the situation Asuna herself walks in looking to get off her feet. Kirito fails at getting her attention, leading Asuna to sitting on top of him unknowingly.
