"Yo what up world, it's ya girl Superwoman!" Lilly Singh exclaimed, excited to start her new video series. She had just gotten the most brilliant idea after hearing about a new genre of YouTube videos called "mukbangs" where people just sit and eat and talk to the camera for an extended period of time. She figured she could easily supplement her income on YouTube by combining her two favorite things: eating and talking.
"So to kick off my new mukbang series I've ordered a ton of fast food to chow down on while chatting with you guys," Lilly said as she panned the camera over to show a table covered in bags from a variety of fast food places. "Ah, smells so yummy," she said as she went cross-eyed and pretended to drool. Lilly sat down at the table and unwrapped a large burger and took her first bite. "Oh man this is so good. I'm gonna get so fat from doing this," she joked.
Over the next hour Lilly ate her way through the entire table of food while talking about anything that came to her mind along the way. By the end she was so stuffed and exhausted that she could barely finish her last bite, but she made a melodramatic effort to do so in her usual comedic way. "Uh I'm so full," she moaned as she rubbed her bloated stomach and stifled a burp. "Well I hope you guys all enjoyed this, I know I did. ~urp~ Leave a comment letting me know if I should keep doing videos like this. And remember, if you like it subscribe!"
A few weeks later, Lilly's mukbang vlogs had become so popular that she started a new channel specifically for them. She still continued doing her regular comedy videos and daily vlogs, but she was now also doing an additional 4-5 mukbang videos a week. And since Lilly wasn't exactly the biggest health nut, the food that she ate for her videos was usually pretty fattening. It was typical for her to eat several thousand calories of fast food, donuts, sugary cereal, or anything else she thought sounded delicious in each video. And it wasn't long before her new diet began to have an effect on her figure.
After a couple of months, Lilly became noticeably chubby. In fact she had gained so much weight that in the middle of filming a new mukbang vlog, the button on her pants popped off and flew across the room. "Oh my god!" Lilly laughed, giving the camera a surprised look. "Well I guess that's what mukbang does to you." It wasn't the first time she had outgrown a piece of clothing, but it was the first time it happened on camera.
"Guess I should do these videos in stretch pants from now on," she joked, patting her big belly and jiggling it.
