Chapter #5

The book's first blessing

    by: crushstar Author IconMail Icon
Despite being dumbfounded by the magnificent book, Hilda had prior obligations. Closing the book and tucking it away, Hilda grabbed the goat's reigns and returned it back to her modest farm. Securing the goat to its pen, Hilda than went inside for some nourishment. She was so weakened from malnourishment that her little venture left her fatigued.

Entering her home she was greeted by her mother. The rest of Hilda's kin was out laboring the farm. Hilda's mother had grown rather slim during the famine. Never was she a woman of healthy girth but she at least had a little bit of meat on her. Now the matron of the family could only watch as her body withered thinner and thinner. Her already small clothes now hung loose from her scrawny frame. She was so embarrassed about her thin body.

"Mom can I please have something to eat? I had to chase after the goat and that burned too many calories." Hilda pleaded.

Her mother placed a stale slice of bread before her. "Sorry Hilda, but that's all we can spare."

Unappealing bread was still food to Hilda so she eagerly gobbled it up. Hilda sighed out of a yearning for more food. Unable to provide any more sustenance, her mother continued the house work. Allowing herself a brief respite, Hilda sat at the table and pulled out the book. She opened the book to a page depicting what appeared to be a slim woman standing next to a fat woman reading 'Moderate Gain.' Interested Hilda read the passage which contained a sort of incantation. Hilda read it, unintentionally muttering as she read.

"Hilda dear, what are you muttering?" Hilda's mother asked while scrubbing the kettle.

Suddenly Hilda's mom felt a tingly sensation ripple through her body. A warmth flowed inside the mother's body causing it to expand. She could feel her body soften. Her unsightly bones vanished under rapidly forming blubber. Her loose clothes began to hug her growing body. Hilda's mother felt the flesh jiggle on her body. Fat had caked itself on her twig like legs, folds cascaded down her backs, love handles spilled over her sides, flesh sagged from her arms, her cave in gut swelled into a squishy globe, and her flat chest morphed into boobs that poured out of her shirt.
"Oh my!" squealed the jubilant woman.

Hilda looked up from the book at her mother. She noticed an extra 150 pounds resting on her mother's figure. Taking a couple seconds to register the phenomenon before her, Hilda fell to a state of awe. Her mom's fattened body sat at an envious 240 pounds which had thrashed her loose clothes rendering them to mere rags barely covering her plentiful flesh.

"Mom!" Hilda exclaimed jumping from her seat. "What happened to you?"

"I have no idea. I suddenly felt warm and then my body fattened up." explained the gleeful woman.

Hilda immediately fondled her mother's new fat, caressing her many folds.

"You're so soft." Hilda awed.

"I feel amazing." her mother giggled. "It is truly a blessing from God."

"A blessing from Go-" Hilda than realized that her mother's miraculous fattening was caused by her book.

Hilda rushed back to the book, firmly holding it.

"Hilda what have you got there?" asked the blimped up matron.

Hilda than analyzed her situation. Should she tell her mother and family of the book and potentially put herself at risk or should she act prudently and keep the book's powers a secret.
