Central has changed the Life Support to do... well, something:

Nanites
Nanites have been released into the atmosphere of the ship to fatten it's female crew. Why? Only Central knows, but the crew might be able to find out, though some will be heavier either way.

Hormone Stimulants
Some hormone stimulants have been released into the atmosphere. Initially, they seem to be causing heightened arousal, though there may be some unexpected side effects for some members of the crew.

Fat Air
That's it. Air that fattens people. Why? Because Central hates you, that's why. Maybe Central made this gas and wanted to test it, I don't know. But I'm pretty sure it's because Central has it out for you specifically.

Saboteur
Maybe someone on the ship is an agent for Central, and they hacked the Life Support, who knows, they're certainly not telling anyone if they are.
