There was still some tension between Lena and Supergirl, and thought that the girl of steel made some apologizes, Lena just couldn't go over the the lack of trust from someone she once considered as a good friend.
Lena kept working days after days, to study all the kryptonite effects, with hope she could use it in some other way than a weapon against some aliens invasions. A way it won't hurt the Girl of Steel or her cousin, so she could use it as an energy source for the city, for example. But yes, the most difficult part would be to make it ineffective for the two Kryptoninans living on Earth. And that's why she couldn't sleep, and forgot Kara, Sam, and even James for a while.
Today, as Lena was taking a nap at her office, she received a call which awakenned her and picked up the phone.
" Mrs Luthor, i think you should see this ! "
" Dr Wilson ? (*random name :p), any problems ? " Lena asked .
" Can't tell. Please come " .

It didn't take long to Lena to join LuthorCorp's secret lab, and entered the room where Wilson, who was in charge of the Kryptonite's project show her a black stone on a table.
" What..is that ? " Lena asked uncertain if that was a problem, or a good news.
" This, Mrs Luthor is a Black Kryptonite. It contains all the energy from a green Kryptonite, but it's probably harmless for any Kryptonian " Wilson explained.
" Probably ? " Lena crossed her arms disappointed. " I need guarantees !"
" Well, it's not as if we could call Supergirl to come here and check..."
" Of course not..."
" It might take me some times to figure out if that's totally harmless for her, but it's a good step " Wilson tried to comfort his boss.
" Is it harmless for us too, or you don't even know that either ? " Lena questionned in a sarcastic tone. Wilson then took the black Kryptonite with his hand and brought it to the woman. " I can say it's safe. But it seems there's two different energies, inside as if the original green's kryptonite was splitted in two. I'll find what it means really soon."
" Sure. We don't want to give the city a corrupted alien energy. " Lena agreed before taking the black stone in her own hand...That's when something strange happenned and Lena began to feel...different...dizzy...confused.
" Mrs...Luthor are you Okay ?! " Wilson didn't expect the reaction of the Black's kryptonite. Lena let it fall on the ground, and all the Dr can see was...as if Lena Luthor's body was getting splitted from the upper part at first. He thought it was an hallucination, but now he was seeing with his own eyes a second body of the woman standing next to the original one, having the same movements, the two Lena acting like a mirror. Wilson knew what to do : destroy the Black Kryptonite !
There was only one way to do that : the shrinking device made to reduce the hardest objects to a size they can be destroyed.
He pointed the device at the kryptonite, when...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
