1)What about William being shrunk after touching something Felicity kept "safe" after coming back from a mission. Of course she didn't want william involved , so when he asks her what is it, the blonde just answer that the "thing" is going to help to get Ricardo Diaz, and that William should not try to get it...which is exactly what's he's gonna do after going back from school.
2) in the same vein as previously, except that William don't get shrunk. Instead he finds a box containing one or several tiny people in there
3) William finds Felicity's device to go in another Earth. Being curious about what another Earth look like, he used it to create a breach, but he didn't realize that the device was broken. Felicty arrives, but William can't hear her and jump throught the portal, arriving in a giant's world. William can appear in Supergirl's earth, or maybe in future somehow (with Mia, etc)
4) Like previously, but Felicity jumped with William, while trying to catch him
