Before using the size ray Dylan wanted to make sure it was on the right setting. He was so occupied that he didn't notice the door slowly creaking open behind him. It wasn't until he felt a light tap on his shoulder that he jolted out of his reverie, dropping the size ray in shock. Before he could react, Ruby had grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, and turned him around.
"What are you doing here, little boy?" she asked sternly, her ample cleavage only inches from his face, sending a wave of excitement and fear through his body. "Were you spying on me and my daughter?"
"No!" the boy replied quickly, trying to sound convincing. "My name is Dylan, I just wanted to meet you and Hazel."
"Hm, Helen told me she had a son named Dylan, guess that could be you," Ruby narrowed her eyes, clearly skeptical, before her gaze fell upon the mysterious object on the ground. "Is this yours?" she asked, picking up the ray gun and examining it closely.
Dylan gulped nervously, unsure how to respond. "Yes...it's a toy gun," he said, hoping to downplay the situation. "I found it outside my house, and I just wanted to see if it really works."
"Hmm," Ruby murmured, looking unconvinced, but decided to play along anyway. She turned towards Hazel, who had come outside to investigate the commotion.
"Who is it mommy?" she asked, her curious blue eyes fixed on the stranger.
"This is Dylan," Ruby answered, gesturing towards the boy. "He's our new neighbor, isn't that nice?"
Hazel smiled shyly, hiding behind her mother. "Hi Dylan," she looked even cuter than before, and Dylan felt a strange mix of emotions – excitement, nervousness, guilt. He wondered if he should tell them the truth about the ray gun.
"Why don't you come inside?" the woman said, smiling as she patted her daughter's head. Ruby was still holding the size ray. He sure couldn't leave without it.
"Uhm....sure," the boy agreed reluctantly, his heart was racing with anticipation, unsure of what would happen next.
He followed them into the house. Where do they end up?
