Her persistence and firm stance are a little annoying. As she stares at you unwaveringly, you want to glare back defiantly but when you catch her eyes, she simply tilts her head and smiles warmly at you.
You blush a little and suddenly feel that you're already losing the battle. Unable to take it, you turn away and rush to your room.
"Just leave me alone!"
Not bothering to hear the android's reply or even take a glance, you make your way to your room and shut the door behind you, locking it in a hurry.
You pause near the door, listening to hear whether she's following you or not. After standing for a few seconds, you breathe a little and sit at your bedside to bury your face into your hands.
'Dad, why?! I don't need a mother figure!' you think.
Yet, you understand that your father felt very guilty when raising you even though you've shown your gratitude so many times. You do miss your real mother, but it certainly doesn't warrant someone artificial coming into your life so suddenly.
You have to admit that Emily is beautiful though. If it were under better circumstances and she was real, you'd die happy if she became a girlfriend to you.
This isn't the case though. Even if she weren't bought to be a mother figure, it'd still be awkward for you concerning how out-of-the-blue she has appeared.
You sigh and let your hands droop down on your face, then frown. 'Was I too harsh?'
