Maddie slowly opened the door, making sure that the coast was clear before stepping out into the hall. Both her sibling's doors were closed with no light coming from underneath. She knew that George would be at work, and it sounded like Rose had just left for school, which meant that she should be undisturbed until her mother finished getting ready. Now the question was which room to search first.
