Where the swapplet had been

The swapplet had been sitting in Ethan's purse nice and comfy, that was until he collided with Mrs. Jefferson. Since the purse had not been closed and the swapplet was above everything else in his purse, the small impact of the collision was enough for the alien device to fall out of said purse. It landed on the lawn and was soon hidden by the grass that had grown rather tall and not been cut in the recent time, something Ethan was supposed to do last weekend but forgot and supposedly wanted to do next weekend. The fall in itself, no matter the height or the material it would have landed on, would not have damaged the swapplet like it would damage a regular tablet, since it was an alien device and merely took the shape of a tablet to be familiar with users of this planet.

Lilly, who had been talking to Ethan prior to the collision, was too invested to see the swapplet fall out of Ethan's purse and Ethan himself as well as Mrs. Jefferson had of course other things on their mind. Thus, the three people soon departed and unknowingly left the alien device lying down in the grass. That's where it would have been when Ethan and Lilly came home, but when they arrived at the house there was no trace of its whereabouts. While the two swapplet user were hunting shadows, the swapplet had been found and taken by someone. That someone was…
